Why Cheeky Maiden Soap?
Your SkinDid you know that your skin is your body's largest vital organ? It is your first defense against germs, bacteria, viruses, and disease! Protecting your body is difficult for your skin to do when it has been stripped of its natural barrier oils by mass produced "soaps" containing detergents and chemicals. Cheeky Maiden Soap is even safe to use on your face! GlycerinGlycerin is a humectant. One molecule of glycerin is created for every three molecules of soap. Commercial soap makers remove the glycerin from their soap and then sell it to the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. With Cheeky Maiden Soap, however, all of the naturally occurring glycerin remains intact. As a result, users of Cheeky Maiden Soap frequently comment on how the soap leaves their skin feeling soft, smooth, and itch-free. We do not add additional glycerin to our soap. The ProcessCheeky Maiden Soap is made right in our soap room in our home using the cold process soap making method. Our soaps are made in small batches to ensure quality. The oils and lye solution are heated separately and then mixed together. Fragrances and herbs are then added. The mixture is poured into wooden log molds and left to sit and saponify for about 24 hours. After it has cooled, Cheeky Maiden removes it from the mold and the curing process begins. The soap is technically safe to use after a few days, but we prefer to let it sit for no less than four weeks. The longer you let your soap dry, the longer it will last once you begin to use it. Each bar is measured, sliced, inspected, sometimes stamped and wrapped in our own label. Buy some soap, help some kidsBesides making great soap,5% of all site sales (not including sales tax or shipping) will be donated to both Alabama Baptist Children's Homes which serves to protect, nourish, and restore children and families through Christ-centered services, and to Compassion's Child Survival Program which helps mothers and babies in the developing world by offering practical care and extending God's love in their most vulnerable times - providing access to prenatal care with dietary supplements and doctor visits to make sure both momma and baby are healthy.
