Melissa Burgess had always enjoyed the way that handmade soap cleaned her skin without drying it out. When her supplier of handmade soap shut her own store down, Cheeky Maiden Soap Company was born. What began as a desire to provide high quality skin care for her family blossomed into an entire line os premium soap and unrefined shea butter products. After attending a few local festivals and craft fairs, customers began to demand a website for reorders.

Cheeky Maiden Soap Company is still family owned and operated. All of our soaps are crafted right in our home by Melissa Burgess, usually while the kiddos are tucked safely in their beds! Melissa enjoys using her creativity to skillfully craft her soap into works of art- sometimes too pretty to use! We hope you find our creations to not only be beautiful, but healing and regenerative to your skin as well. Thoughtfulness and attention to detail cloke every element of design from fairly traded completely natural ingredients to packaging and presentation.

We have three children (so far), the oldest is 3 and our youngest is our son, born October of 2007.

We are an organic eating, homebirthing, homechurching, homeschooling family who enjoy the beauty and value of all things handmade.
